Covid-19 arrangements

Following the relaxation of Covid-19 restrictions by the Government on 19 July, the Village Hall welcomes users for a full range of activities.

Although legal restrictions have been lifted, the Government urges caution and provides both general guidance, and guidance targeted at specific activities eg. catering, wedding receptions and wakes, musical performances etc. Hirers should ensure they are familiar with all guidance relevant to their activity before hiring the hall.

The Village Hall Committee (VHC) has worked hard to ensure that any use of the Village Hall will be on a Covid-19 Secure basis.

From 19 July 2021:

  • hall capacity reverts to the legal maximum of 100 persons;
  • the wearing of face-coverings is a matter of personal choice, but you should note Government advice that face-coverings should be worn in crowded enclosed spaces;
  • social distancing is also a matter of personal responsibility, but you should note Goverment advice to exercise caution and respect the wishes of others;
  • use a one-way system - enter by front door, leave by rear hall door;
  • avoid congestion at doorways and in corridors - avoid crowding the kitchen and allow a maximum of one person in the urinal, and two in the ladies' lavatory;
  • ensure good ventilation by keeping doors open and using the outside space at the rear of the hall where practicable;
  • you are encouraged to use sanitiser on entering/leaving the hall;
  • hirers are required to clean regularly-used surfaces prior to the commencement of their event;
  • Track & Trace QR codes are provided for those of you who choose to check in using the NHS Covid-19 App.

All bookings will be subject to prevailing Government and local authority requirements/advice, and may be cancelled or subject to additional conditions by Priston Village Hall if these requirements change.

Look out for announcements from event organisers for information regarding specific events/classes. Please do respect any additional requirements which event organisers may put in place for their specific activities.
