Priston Village Hall
Auction of Promises
Saturday 23 February 2019
7 for 7.30pm start
(see printable auction catalogue)

Why we are holding an Auction of Promises

VH MealOur Village Hall is a vital part of Priston life.

The Village Hall roof is in urgent need of repair. We also need to make improvements to heating , ventilation and insulation, and to tackle damp problems within the building.

The project to achieve this will cost around £53,000 pounds.

We need to raise as much money as we can to meet the costs of the work.

How to take part

We are very grateful to villagers and local businesses for contributing offers to our Auction of Promises.   The lots are listed below.

Please come along to Priston Village Hall on Saturday 23 February 2019 at 7 for 7.30pm start to bid for lots.   We are delighted that Tim Thacker will be acting as our Auctioneer for the evening.

Tickets for the auction are £5 and should be purchased in advance from David Hassard (phone 07976 160838 or email dih@hortonestates.co.uk).
Canapes and finger buffet will be provided and a bar will be available.

If you can't come to the auction . . .

If you are unable to attend, then you can still make advance bids by emailing them to pvhauction@priston.org.uk by 12 noon on 23 February.
Pre-bids will be executed on your behalf at the lowest possible figure within your limit. You may, therefore, be successful in securing a lot below your maximum bid. Pre-bids will not be made public before the auction.

Please include in your email the following info: the lot number/title & your name, address (if not in Priston), maximum bid amount, and contact phone number.

Note:
  • bidding on the night of the auction will be by raising a hand so that the auctioneer can see it;
  • on a successful bid, you will be asked to sign a form acknowledging purchase and the amount of the bid. You will also be provided with a form confirming details of the lot and contact details for the donor as appropriate;
  • winning bids should be paid for ideally on the evening of the auction, or within the following 7 days if this is not possible;
  • payment can be made by cash or cheque payable to “Priston Village Hall Committee”. Payment can also be made by bank transfer (bank details available on request);
